In the first reading we can reflect on another folly of human being.
When a person desires something it is rare that he considers it holistically.
And if it is simply because’ all others have therefore...................' situation than it is more irrational.
Just read and see as to how much god tells the people about the pit palls of having their own king still they fail to understand.
Is it the same when we desire things, gadgets, systems, mobiles?
Do we really weigh our desires in god's scales?
