10-08-2014: Infant Mary Ward feast celebrated

Sunday 10th August 2014: Infant Mary ward celebrated their feast today by offering thanksgiving mass @ 7.30 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church Moodbidri.  Later at 12.00 noon the celebration of the feast started at the Terrace of “  Sunview Residency ” the residence of Eugene Herald Pinto.

The function started with a welcome dance, followed by Prayer, welcoming the guests, games, quiz, Annual report, and lunch prepared by the ward members. Mr. Emmanuel Monis–the gurkar of the ward was the M.C.  The guests present were: V.Rev. Fr. Austin Peter Peris, Vice President, Secretary, other ward gurkars, Sisters from Carmel Convent and  Brother Nelson Cardoza.

Most of the ward families were present .  V. Rev. Fr. Austin explained the growth of our wards and the ward meetings and saluted the gurkars for  their hard work to keep the ward families together in love to help each other.  He graded them as First class and hoped that they will be excellent soon.

Infant Mary ward was formed a year ago  in July 2013 by dividing the “Ruzai Ward into two wards. Mr. Emmanuel Monis was elected as the ward ‘Gurkar’ , Mrs. Zita Tauro as secretary, and Mrs. Nora Vaz & Gregory Cardoza as representatives.  The ward has 30 families but only 27 families are residing.
