In the gospel today we have john the baptizer, pointing at Jesus as the " lamb of god " for the second time.
After this two of his disciples leave him and seek Jesus.
Jesus invites them to “come and see"
In spiritual life both “coming” and " seeing " are highly loaded words resplendent with meaning.
A person has to come to Jesus with free will and enthusiasm.
The first disciples “saw " and identified Jesus as the messiah, therefore we can imagine the intensity of their experience of/encounter with Jesus.
not only that; soon after that encounter Andrew brings Simon Peter to Jesus and thus he becomes the first 'evangelist '
Have I really encountered Jesus and experienced him as the messiah, the anointed ?
