The vibrant and joyous Infant Mary Ward Feast celebration took place on September 22, 2024, at Serrao Palace, uniting the ward members in faith and community spirit. The day began with a Eucharistic Mass, followed by lively festivities that reflected the deep sense of togetherness.

The festivities commenced with a captivating welcome dance by children, setting a delightful tone. Afterward, a solemn procession brought in the Bible,followed by the guests and Mrs. Precilla Nazareth led a heartfelt prayer, seeking for divine blessings on the gathering. It was a moment of serenity and reflection, as attendees came together in a spirit of prayer and thanksgiving.

The highlight of the programme was when the distinguished guests, Most Rev.Fr.Onil D’Souza, Mr.Vincent D’Souza, Mr.Norbert Martis, Mrs.Celine D’Souza, Sr.Sunitha , Sr.Ranitha, Sr.Renita, Gurkar and Secretary of the ward, Mrs.Jyothi Rego graced the stage. Their presence added a touch of grandeur to the event. The Gurkar, Mrs.Janet Cordeiro welcomed the gathering and as a gesture of respect and gratitude, presented each guest with a bouquet. The secretary of the ward, Mrs.Jyothi Rego presented the annual report of the ward.

Most Rev.Fr.Onil D’Souza addressed the gathering and shared words of wisdom, encouragement, and faith. He emphasized the importance of unity and faith within the community, underscoring the values that Infant Mary Ward stood for.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There was a felicitation ceremony for Dr. Suizel Elisha D’Souza and Dr. Sean D’Souza for earning their medical degrees, Prakash D’Souza for his continuous support to the underprivileged, Mr. Jaison Rebello and Mr. Vijoy Ashwin Cardoza for their entrepreneurial success, Ms. Clareesha D’Costa for achieving distinction in the Grade 5 electronic keyboard exam from Trinity College, London.

Children of the community graced the stage with their graceful dance performances, adding a touch of elegance to the event. The youth of the ward presented a skit on the Box of Emotions, which illustrated the struggles people face with emotions such as anger, fear, anxiety, ego and sorrow, and how biblical lessons provide strength, joy, relief and wisdom in navigating these feelings.

Games were conducted by Mrs.Clara Dcosta, adding an element of fun to the event. Prizes were awarded to the winners of games and to members who attended zamath every month. A heartfelt rose was presented to the sponsors as a token of appreciation for their contributions to the success of the feast celebration. Mrs.Doreen Pereira extended her thanks to everyone for their active participation and contribution to making the event a memorable one.

Throughout the event, the proceedings were expertly guided and presented by the MC, Ms.Immanuel Monis. His eloquence and charm added warmth to the celebration, ensuring that the event flowed seamlessly. The event concluded with a blessing on the food by Sr. Sunitha.

The Infant Mary Ward Feast was a testament to the strength and unity of the community. It was a day filled with love, faith, and a sense of togetherness. It served as a reminder of the values that bind the community together and the importance of celebrating achievements and milestones together.
