St Joseph's ward feast celebration

St. Joseph the Worker ward recently celebrated their ward fest on April 30th, 2023, at Salvadore Shanthi Crasta's residence in Masthikatte. The event was compered by Shailesh Crasta and began with respect for the Holy Bible and a prayer ceremony led by Jacintha Monis and group at 12 noon.

Daya and Jenisha, two ward children, welcomed the crowd with a lovely welcome dance. Guests, ward gurkars, committee presidents, and convent sisters were greeted with welcome roses and welcomed by Gurkarn Wilma Dsouza.

The ward secretary, Rita Vas, read the annual report, and Rev. Fr. Onil Dsouza, the Parish Priest, addressed the crowd on the occasion of the ward fest.

Entertainment and cultural programs were organized by ward members, including singing by Veera Pinto and Wilma Dsouza, spot games, and dances by ward children Snehal, Lenisha, Denisha, and Lenisha.

A skit written and directed by Salvadore Crasta featured active participation by Francis, Leena, Lilly, Patric, Prashanth, Pranith, and Shailesh. Game winners were awarded prizes by the Parish Priest, and Veera Pinto delivered a thanksgiving message. Finally, a delicious lunch was served to all,prepared by ward members and blessed by Convent Sister Sr. Priya Maria.

Overall, it was a memorable and successful day for the St. Joseph the Worker ward, and the event was enjoyed by all attendees.
