Alangar-Moodbidri, Oct. 28: The annual Praish feast of holy rosary church alangar moodbidri was solemnly celebrated on 27th october. A large crowd participated in the celebration. Fr Vincent D'souza, the parish priest of bela was the main celebrant. Fr Harold Pereira preached very meaningful sermon on mother mary. 25 priests concelebrated.
On 26'th October evening vespers were held from 6.30 pm to 7.30pm. Fr Prem prakash CSSR and the choir led by Harrry Tauro led the chanting of the psalms. The Vicar Vara V.Rev.Fr. Austin Peter Peris conducted the bible service, preached and gave the blessings. This being a unique celebration a large crowd of people from sourrounding parishes also attended it.
There were fireworks sponsored by a donor Francis Rasquinha. The church was very colorfuly illuminated. There were two pirgents (sponsors) for the feast namely Faustine and Mary Menezes and Cynthia Correa. Fr Basil vas the parish priest, Fr Anil D'silva , the assistant, vice president clifford aranha, the secretary Valerian Sequeira thanked all the people. A pocket edition of infant jesus novena was released for the devotees.
The annual Infant Jesus feast will be held on 16'th of January.
