REPORT OF THE 63RD GBM
&
13TH CUP AWARD CEREMONY
4th July, 2010. Rosario Church Hall, Mangalore.
Indian catholic youth movement held their 63rd General Body meeting as well as 13th Cup Award Ceremony on 4th July 2010 at Rosario Church Hall.
It was inaugurated by Very Rev. Fr. Stany Goveas the parish priest of Rosario Cathedral by lighting the lamp. During his message he enlightened the mission of Christian youth leaders in the church and society. The leadership through service is the need of the hour and he called upon the youth to become effective leaders of the society. The Director Rev. Fr. Anil D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Mr. Leo Pereira the president of ICYM proposed vote of thanks. The ICYM Lady Animator Sr. Michelle. B.S and Ms. Reena D’Souza secretary were present on the dais. The programme was compared by Ms. Reshma from Milagris.
After the inauguration the General Body meeting was held where a lot of topics concerned to the youth ministry were discussed. Then the elections were held of the office bearers for the year 2010-2011.Following are the office bearers.

Afternoon at 3.00pm 13th CUP Award Ceremony was inaugurated by V.Rev.Fr.Henry Sequeira the Chancellor of Mangalore Diocese.During his message he stressed on the role and responsibility of every youth in the family ,church and the society.Mr.Melwyn D’Cunha,the Chairman of MCC Bank Mangalore was the chief guest of the award ceremony. He honored the married youth who rendered their services as office bearers in ICYM.During his address he pointed out that there are plenty of opportunities for the youth to establish themselves in their country and called upon the youth to grab those opportunities and prove their leadership.
Mr. Robin the State ICYM President from the Diocese of Belthangady was the guest of honour.
Recognizing the services and the activities conducted by the local ICYM units, 10 units were honored with “CUP AWARD”-Madanthyar, Kulshekar, Moodbidri Town, Pakshikere, Kinnigoli, Kumbla, Panir, Kelarai, Gurpur, Neermarga. Along with the Director and Lady Animator all the Diocesan Executive members were present on the dias.Mr.Leo Pereira the president of ICYM welcomed and Ms.Reshma proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compared by Mr.Prashanth D’Souza,Arva ,Volunteer ,the National ICYM Office, Delhi.
