Annual Feast of St. Joseph the Worker ward Celebrated with Grandeur

On Sunday, April 28th, 2024, the St. Joseph the Worker ward jubilantly celebrated their annual feast at 5:30 PM at the residence of Gregory and Leena D'Costa. The event was graced by the presence of Parish Priest Rev Fr Onil D’Souza, Vice President, Carmel Convent sisters, Lan kristav Samudai Sayojaki, Ayog sanchalaki, Ward Gurkars, and esteemed guests.

The evening commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting by Parish Priest and other dignitaries, followed by a prayer ceremony conducted by Jacintha Monis and fellow ward members. Gurkar Prashanth Sanctis extended a warm welcome to all attendees, while Secretary Rita Vas presented the annual report of the ward.

In recognition of their dedication, Parish Priest honored both outgoing and newly elected Gurkars for their selfless service. The event showcased various cultural programs performed by ward members, culminating in a sumptuous meal prepared by the community and blessed by the Parish Priest.

The festivities concluded on a joyous note with a Baila dance, symbolizing a happy ending to a successful event. The celebration exemplified unity, community spirit, and devotion to St. Joseph the Worker.

As the Master of the ceremony, Lawyer Mr Shailesh Crasta effortlessly navigated the program ensuring a seamless flow of entertainment and celebration.
