9th Day of Novena

Sunday 7th  September 2014 :

Today the 9th and last day of the novena. Being Sunday the mass started at 7.30 a.m.

Thought for the day: Mary teaches children to respect parents (elders)   

Message:  Honour your father and mother

ವಿಷಯ್: ಮರಿ ಭುಗ್ರ್ಯಾಂನಿ ವ್ಹಡಿಲಾಂಕ್ ವಿಧೇಯ್ ಜಾಂವ್ಕ್ ಶಿಕಯ್ತಾ.

ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ್ ಇರಾದೊ: ವ್ಹಡಿಲಾಂ ಖಾತಿರ್ ಮಾಗೊಂಕ್

Obedience to parents and elders is what Mary teachers us the children of God.  Parents take care of the children and do all sacrifices to bring them up.  So it is totally justifying and duty of all children, to listen to their advice and instructions of elders to become good citizens of God’s kingdom.  We should not forget  to take care of them when they are old as they become helpless due to their weakness.  This way we will honour our father-mothers. Let us  pray specially for the elders today.

 
After mass, flower showering ceremony took place in the church portico as it was raining, followed by novena prayer. Sweets were distributed to all present.
