22 September 2024, Corpus Christi Church – Six talented children from the Corpus Christi parish were honored for their exceptional achievements across various categories following the Children’s Holy Mass.
Ashwil Niel Lobo, son of Arun and Vinitha Lobo from Lourdes Ward, a 7th-grade student, was awarded the title of "Little Artist" for his excellence in drawing. He has also won a Gold Medal and a trophy in national and international karate championships.
Miss Anvita Lobo, also the daughter of Arun and Vinitha Lobo, and a 1st-year PUC science student, received recognition for her outstanding achievements. She secured Gold and Bronze Medals in both national and international karate championships and was also awarded the "Makkala Jagali Art Award" for her artistic talents. In addition, she is a semifinalist in a popular dance reality show.
Miss Ayana Pereira, daughter of Alwyn and Maria Pereira from Nithyadhar Ward, a 5 th grade student has won a Gold Medal in national and international karate championships, as well as 2nd place in a national-level drawing competition.
Miss Ashna Pereira, also from Nithyadhar Ward, a 7 th grade student secured Gold and Silver Medals in national and international karate championships.
Miss Angel Lobo, daughter of Anil and Lavina Lobo from Ruzai Ward, a 7 th grade student,earned a Gold Medal in the kata category of an international karate championship.
Lastly, Nikki D’Costa, daughter of Naveen and Sylvia D’Costa from Coscessav Ward, a 4 th grade student has achieved 48th rank in the 2nd grade and 79th rank in the 3rd grade in the English spelling competition conducted by Wiz National Spell Bee.
Rev Fr Onil D’Souza along with catichism teachers honoured the children and praised the children for their exceptional skills and accomplishments.
