On Thursday, May 16th, 2024, Corpus Christi Church in Moodbidri resonated with prayers and devotion during a transformative prayer service held from 5 to 9 pm. The evening began with an intercession prayer led by Mrs. Noveline Rodrigues and Mrs. Janet Cutinha from 5:00 to 5:30 pm. Their heartfelt prayers set a reverent tone for the events that followed.
At 5:30 pm, the congregation participated in the Holy Eucharistic Mass and the Novena to the Infant Jesus, lasting until 6:15 pm. This sacred ritual deepened the communal worship experience, bringing the congregation together in faith.
Following the Eucharistic celebration, praise and worship took center stage. Br. Arun Lobo and Br. Enosh Kenneth led this session with music and hymns that captivated the congregation. Their inspiring melodies and heartfelt lyrics created an atmosphere of profound spiritual engagement.
A significant highlight of the evening was the testimony of Mrs. Diana Lobo, who shared a personal story of a favor she received as a result of the Thursday prayer services and devotion. Her testimony underscored the impact of faith and prayer in daily life.
Rev. Fr. Joswin, a professor from Jeppu Seminary, delivered a heart-touching sermon on repentance and penance. He emphasized that by repenting for our sins, we can restore good mental and physical health and allow the Holy Spirit to work in our lives according to God's will.
The adoration of the Blessed Holy Sacrament, led by Fr. Joswin and Br. Arun, further enriched the spiritual experience, helping the congregation feel the presence of God, find peace, and seek healing.
The prayer service concluded with Benediction, imparting blessings upon all present. Rev. Fr. Onil D’Souza expressed gratitude to the sponsors and the prayer service team. The evening culminated with a simple dinner served to all attendees, fostering a sense of community and fellowship.
