Corpus Christi church was a hub of spiritual fervor on Thursday, May 9th, 2024, as it welcomed parishioners to a comprehensive prayer service from 5 to 9 p.m. The evening commenced with an intercession prayer led by Mrs. Janet Fernandes and Mrs. Veera Lobo, guiding the congregation in earnest supplication from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Following the intercession, attendees participated in the holy Eucharistic mass and novena to the Infant Jesus, a solemn moment lasting from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m.
Praise and Worship then took centre stage, led by Br. Elias and his team, captivating the congregation with melodious hymns and music-by Br Enosh Kenneth from 6:30 p.m. onwards.
Mrs. Wilma Lobo shared a testimony of divine favor received through prayer and intercession, uplifting the spirits of all present. Reverend Fr. Anil Kiran Fernandes from the Divine Call Centre in Mulki delivered a thought-provoking sermon on "We Are the Citizens of Heaven," emphasizing the possibility of living a heavenly life on earth.
Fr. Anil Kiran Fernandes led adoration to the blessed sacrament, offering prayers for those facing anxiety and tribulations. The service concluded with a benediction, imparting blessings to all attendees.
Many reported experiencing both physical and inner peace during the service. Parish priest Rev. Fr. Onil D’Souza expressed gratitude to all who supported the event directly and indirectly. The evening culminated with a simple dinner served to all attendees, fostering a sense of community and fellowship among worshippers.
