Sunday 14th May 2017: Annual Feast of Fatima ward was celebrated today with the thanksgiving mass at 7.30 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church and a gathering at the house of Naveen & Nisha D'silva at Papermill for the celebration.
Parish Priest V. Rev. Fr. Paul Sequeira, VP Mr. John Menezes, S.C.C. secretary Mr. Aldrin, Ward Gurkars, Sisters of "Morning Star" Convent & Ward family members were present. Guests were welcomed by Mr. Naveen by presenting them red roses.
Annual minutes of meeting were read by Mrs. Reshma Pinto - Secretary of Fatima ward, Quiz conducted by Mrs. Anitha, games conducted by Mrs. Hilda Pinto & Mrs. Mable Rodrigues and Spot games conducted by Mr. Sunil Pinto. After the games Prizes were distributed to the winners. Ward children danced to the tune of Konkani music, sang songs & entertained the gathering.
Parish Priest Fr. Paul Sequeira gave the Fatima feast message to the gathering. Ward gurkar Mr. Victor Fernandes gave a vote of thanks. At the end delicious lunch prepared by the ward families was served to all present.
