Sunday 27th November 2016: Concessao ward celebrated their Annual Feast at the residence of Francis & Valerina Sanctis in Mastikatte.
The celebration started at 12.30 p.m. Most of the ward families were present. Present among the invitees were Parish Priest - V. Rev. Fr. Paul Sequeira, Bro. Julius, VP - Mr. Andrew Noronha, Secretary - Rita Rego, Sisters of Morning Star & Carmel Convent & all the Ward Gurkars. Ward Gurkarn Matilda Fernandes welcomed the invitees presenting them roses. Mrs. Jyothi Dsouza compered the programme. Prayers were conducted by Mrs. Rita Rego. Annual minutes of the ward were read by Secretary Mrs. Sylvia Mascarenhas.
Games were conducted for children & adults. A skit highlighting the importance of “Vado Jamath” and family relation was played by Francis Sanctis, Lilly Dsouza & Lena Dcosta which was an inspiration to all. Mrs. Jyothi Dsouza conducted Bible quiz. Gifts were presented to the winners of the games & quiz. Fr. Paul and VP Andrew Noronha gave their well wishes to the Ward members through their short speeches.
Mr Harry Rego thanked all the people who made this feast successful and the invitees for gracing the occasion. Home cooked lunch was served to all present with “Vorn”as desert.
We wish Concessao Ward a Happy Feast & congratulate them for the successful celebration. May the love, unity & service make your Vado grow strong.
