2014: Novena of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary-1st day

Saturday  30th August 2014 : The 9 days  Novena in preparation for the Nativity Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary started  at Corpus Christi Church –Moodbidri with the Morning Mass at 6.45 a.m.  Many children came with flowers in plates and buckets to honour Mary.

Today’s Special Intention : To pray for “Families”

Family is the basic foundation of human life. Let us make our family like the “Holy Family” an example to all.  May Mary be inspiration to us.  Parents take all the trouble to bring up the children to a good future. Children should also remember that parents are representatives of God to their life and they should love and respect them.  All children should say at least a small prayer for their parents daily.

After the mass “flower offering ceremony” took place on the church ground followed by Novena Prayer.  Sweets were distributed to all present for the novena.
