Sunday 16 July 2017: The celebration of the Carmel Feast took place at the Holy Rosary High School Hall from 12 noon to 2.30 P.M. As the feast came on a Sunday Carmel Convent and Carmel ward jointly celebrated the Feast.
Parish Priest V. Rev. Fr. Paul Sequeira, Rev. Fr. Yesudas Dcosta, Redemptorist Fathers from Nithyadar Nivas Alangar, Ward Gurkars, Sisters of Morning Star Convent, and the invitees were the guests with ward family members and Carmel Convent sisters. The guests were welcomed by Rev. Sr. Nivedita Superior of Carmel Convent by presenting roses to them.
Sr. Ivy Moras was the MC who organized the programme very nicely entertaining the audience. The function included the following:
· A prayer song ”Carmel Dongravayle Maye” by Carmel Convent sisters
· A welcome Song by Carmel ward Women Group led by Jacintha Monis
· Honouring the Achievers of Carmel Ward
· A Fishermen dance by Carmel Ward Children led by Jyothi Noronha
· Games for all were conducted by Srs. Ivy Moras, Felcita & Premal followed by prize distribution
Gifts were distributed to all Carmel ward children who were present.
Parish Priest Fr. Paul Sequeira gave the Carmel fest message to the Carmel sisters and Carmel ward members. Carmel Ward Gurkar gave a vote of thanks.
Lunch was served to all present after prayers before meals by Rev. Fr. Eugene Dsilva.
We wish the Apostolic Carmel sisters & Carmel ward families a Happy Feast.
