The central Varado members gathered in Corpus Christi Church Hall to elect the Varado Pastoral Council Officials at 4.00 p.m. Parish Priests from 14 parishes, Vice Presidents, Secretaries, Heads of Religious Institutions were present. Election started with prayer and Reading from the Bible by Rev. Fr. Sylvester & Rev. Fr. Rakesh. Vicar Vara - V. Rev. Paul Sequeira, Parish Priest of - Moodbidri Town - Corpus Christi Church welcomed all and read the rules of the election. He conducted the election for the Varado Secretary, representatives to the Diocesan Pastoral Council and Varado Reconciliatory Committee as per the Diocesan constitution. Rev. Fr. Santosh concluded the election with thanksgiving prayers.
Fr. Paul thanked all for coming and making the election program in a peaceful manner.
The following were elected:
Varado Secretary: Mr. Roshan Pereira of Taccode Parish
Diocesan Pastoral Council Representatives:
