ICYM Moodbidri organised Golden Jubilee Cup , Ward Wise Cricket Tournament

On the occasion of Golden Jubilee, The Indian Catholic Youth Movement unit of Corpus Christi Church Moodbidri organised Golden Jubilee Cup-Inter ward Cricket tournament on 07th April 2024 at Mahaveera college grounds. The inauguration of the event was done by parish priest V.Rev.Fr. Onil Dsouza and wished the event to be a successful one. Inaugural programme was graced by the presence of Mrs.Celine Dsouza- Coordinator of 21 Commissions, Mr.Vincent Mascarenhas- Convenor Golden Jubilee Committee, Dr.Kevin Dsouza and Mr.Royston Pinto-Animators ICYM Moodbidri.

Programme began with invocation of God's blessings by a devotional hymn. Ms.Delisha Miranda welcomed the gathering. Cricket tournament was played between 13 wards in the knockout format. St.Antony ward emerged victorious in the tournament whereas Lourdes ward were runners up of the tournament.

Mr.Arvin Cardoza won the player of the series, Mr.Aldrin Sequiera and Mr.Joshua Menezes were the best batter and bowler of the tournament respectively. Ms. Anisha Dsouza was awarded player of the match in the finals and Ms.Jenelia Menezes was awarded Best woman player of the tournament. Prizes were given to all the winners and tokens of gratitude were given to the umpires who helped in the smooth functioning of the tournament. Vote of thanks was rendered by Ms.Delisha Miranda.
