72nd Indian Independence Day celebrated

Aug. 30: Indian Catholic Youth Movement Moodbidri unit celebrated 72nd Indian Independence Day on 15th August 2018. The programme began after the Holy Eucharistic celebration with the prayer song. Miss Jane Fernandes gave an introduction about the programme and requested the guests to take their honourable seats on the dias. V Rev Fr Paul Sequeira parish priest was the chief guest for the programme. Parish Priest along with Fr Angelo, Mr John Menezes Vice President Parish Council, Mr Ronald Serrao Secretary Parish Council, Ex Military officers – Mr Austin Periera, Mr Henry Lobo, Mr Joseph Elias Lobo and Mr Steevan Consesao where the guest of the program, Animators- Sunil Pinto and Silviya Mascarenhas unit were the dignitaries of the programme.

Jevish Fernandes President ICYM Moodbidri unit welcomed the gathering and  requested the chief guest to proceed towards flag hoisting ceremony. V Rev Fr Paul Sequeira addressed the gathering about Indian Independence day. Secretary Miss Carol Rebello gave vote of thanks. ICYM members distributed sweets to the gathering.

ICYM Members along with Animator Sunil Pinto visited to Ex defence officer Mr Francis DSouza- medically retired officer. Members thanked for his service to our nation and felicitated him.
