Catholic Sabha Organizes Elocution Competition for Moodbidri Parish Children

The Catholic Sabha Moodbidri Unit orchestrated an engaging elocution competition, "Bhashan Spardo," for the children of Moodbidri parish at the Corpus Christi church hall on October 29 2023at 2:30 PM.

Commencing with a hymn invoking the blessings of the Holy Spirit, Mr. Harry Rego, President of the Catholic Sabha Moodbidri Unit, extended a warm welcome to the attendees. The rules and guidelines were elucidated to the 22 enthusiastic participants.

Judges, Mr. Manohar Cutinha Hospet and Sabitha Rodrigues Taccode, oversaw the event. V. Rev. Fr. Onil Dsouza, the Parish Priest, addressed the audience, encouraging the children to exhibit their talents and strive for a bright future.

Mrs. Sabitha Rodrigues offered valuable suggestions to improve children's speech presentations. All winners received prizes, while every participant received tokens of appreciation. Mr. Mark Mendonsa delivered a vote of thanks, and the program concluded with refreshments for all attendees.

The event served as a platform for children to display their oratory skills, guided by esteemed judges and inspired by the supportive words of Fr. Onil Dsouza and Mrs. Sabitha Rodrigues. It was a celebration of talent and encouragement, fostering a spirit of growth and confidence among the young participants within the parish community.
