ICYM Corpus Christi Church Organizes Youth Prayer Service

On October 2, 2024 The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) of Corpus Christi Church, Moodbidri, organized a special prayer service for the youth from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, as a part of their Golden Jubilee celebrations.The prayer service was led by Rev. Fr. Abraham D’Souza, SVD, Superior of Divine Call Centre, Mulki, with musical support from Br. John D’Souza.

The prayer service commenced with the recitation of the Rosary, at 4pm followed by energetic religious action songs.
In honour of the Feast of the Guardian Angels, Fr. Abraham delivered a sermon on the vital role of guardian angels in protecting and guiding individuals, using references from the Bible.

Fr. Abraham also emphasized the importance of worshipping God in spirit and building a relationship with Him through companionship, communion, and communication.

From 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament was conducted with praise and worship. During the adoration, Fr. Abraham encouraged the youth to develop spiritual vision and faith, drawing parallels with the biblical figure Abraham.

Rev Fr Abraham concluded by offering seven key principles to the youth for a good life: discipline, virtues, clear objectives, hard work without shortcuts, humility, trust in God, and consistency. After the benediction, Rev. Fr. Onil D’Souza expressed his gratitude to Fr. Abraham and Br. John for their contributions.
